PRADA DONNA
Spring/Summer 2009 Collection
The Prada Spring/Summer 2009 show is based on the ‘primitive’ concept – meaning going back to the essence of things - that is expressed through simple yet significant shapes, natural fibers, ancient prints, and subtle colors.

Standout items are little bags made of snakeskin, also in the computer-generated printed version, and lined nappa leather styles treated like the clothes to create a wrinkled surface.

The few prints in the collection include computer-enhanced animal motifs (python) and stylized fishes that resemble the stencils decorating the catwalk in the fashion show space, an irregular archipelago composed of wood islands.

Beige, white, black, red, and gold are the colors of the fashion show. Note the tiny earrings handmade with wire and delicate shells
The extravagant high-heeled shoes feature sporty leather details and decorative topstitching. They’re worn with white or black socks decorated with bows at the heel.

The garments, made of special cottons blended with metal threads, are sculpted on the body to change the silhouette. T-shirts, tight skirts, and bras – the typical elements of feminine seduction – are embellished with lovely draping and casual bows. For evening, there are strictly gold dresses made of silk blended with metal.
