Originated
in Italy, PINKO represents a sense of uniqueness and has strived
to bring the brand to new heights globally. The 200 sales points
recently established in Paris, London and fashion markets worldwide
have strengthened her sales network, which already comprised 400
sales points in Italy. Riding on her success in the foreign markets,
she marched forward into China and rolled out more than 10 brand
stores here. The first PINKO store in Guangzhou landed in La Perle
in 2006.
Founded in the late 80s, the brand began as a jobber for high fashion
labels and accumulated vast amount of knowledge about fabrics, manufacturing
and design techniques. This experience proved to be important to
the growth of PINKO. Mr Pietro Negra, founder and CEO, took decisive
steps to turn the jobber into a style setter, crafting pieces of
fine works for ladies.
The new born label, evolving with tremendous speed, has become
one of the most active players on the international fashion stages
from Europe to Asia in only ten years. In the 90s, given a break
down of designer labels' monopoly, demand in ready-to-wear market
changed dramatically. Since people favoured young and energetic
fashion labels, PINKO has had a significant reform on her designs.
While enhancing her popular classic line, she broadened the range
with adventurous and innovative ideas, which becomes nowadays' PINKO
White series. This smart move helped to successfully formulate her
characteristic style - unique, sassy and ironic.
Mariah Carey - An Expression of City Chic
Internationally famous stars like black venus Naomi Campbell,
the first American Next Top Model Amanda Moore, German model Eva
Herzigova and Australian actress Elle MacPherson enjoyed to be PINKO's
image girls. For 2007 Spring/Summer, exotic singer Mariah Carey
was transformed into a sexy kitten in a hot vest with silvery sequins
and super mini skirt to catch eyes of the world.

There is no doubt that the ladies carry strong style of their own,
all symbolizing an assertive character, an open-to-new-challenge
mindset and a keen interest in the discovery of fun. That neo-woman
figure - with pointed sense of life, being careful with grooming,
tough yet tender, but never shy - reflects totally the essence of
PINKO attitude.
